Camp Skillz Week 2: Skillz Showdown - In Review

The Tennessee summer heat was not match for our week 2 campers at Camp Skillz! We had a showdown of creativity, ingenuity, and endurance to characterize our week, and we know our campers developed some great skillz in the end!

Camp Skillz has been the perfect summer destination for kids seeking fun and adventure. For campers ages 6-12, every day is a new opportunity to learn, play, and create memories. Week 2 activities consisted of Art Lab, a rocket stove cookout, basketball drills, an obstacle course, and bug hotels.

One of the most anticipated activities was creating bug hotels. Campers constructed this project using pre-cut wood, bamboo, and other natural materials. The activity involved basic hand tool skills such as hammering, sanding, and optional painting. This hands-on project was not only educational but also instilled a sense of environmental stewardship!

Our agility challenge featured a Crossy Road obstacle course. Campers navigated various physical challenges designed to test their agility, balance, and coordination. The obstacle course was a favorite, as it combined fun with fitness, encouraging campers to push their limits in a supportive environment!

Lastly, our field trip to Altitude Nashville was received with laughter and smiles around. The indoor jump park gave us a break from the heat with trampolines, foam pits, and climbing walls. The morning was spent creating special memories among the campers.

Week 3: Cultural Odyssey is up next for Camp Skillz, and it promises even more adventures as campers will participate in a special day with the street team from Nashville Soccer Club!
