G.O.D. Int’l Works as One Team from 5 Regions

G.o.d. International cooperatives meet virtually to discuss one-team ministry efforts

While in Suchitoto, El Salvador, Gregg Garner, CEO and Founder of G.O.D. Int’l and Jeremiah Watson, Nu Water Works Manager, held a virtual meeting with the G.O.D. Cooperatives from Latin America, East Africa, South East Asia, India and the United States.

Salvadoran student interns and Cooperatives joined the Zoom meeting.

The meeting provided an opportunity to present on how a one-team effort aids in the successful completion of ministry goals, using the example of the Nu Water Works well cleaning project in El Salvador. Jeremiah gave a digital presentation to the group as an illustration.

Garner outlined G.O.D.’s ministry approach to regional projects moving forward. Cooperatives will have a platform to give feedback for G.O.D. projects that happen in all 5 regions, not just their own.

“So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.” Philippians 2:1-5

The body of Christ (Ephesians 16) metaphor gives the people of God a model for unity. With the one mind that we have in Christ, though separated by borders, we can be organized in such a way as to look out to the interests of others, unified as one team under one Christ.

At the end of the meeting Gregg asked all the cooperatives to raise their hands as a sign of solidarity and support for efforts moving forward. As the manager of the LA Regional Team, I was impacted by their commitment. When everyone lifted their hands I could see tears in their eyes and sincere gratitude in their faces.

Together with Gregg Garner, regional cooperatives raised their hands as a sign of unity.

G.O.D. Cooperatives Share in God’s Mission, Together

Clark Miller, Southeast Asia: “Not only was it an immense blessing to witness a (virtual) gathering of G.O.D. cooperatives from all across the globe, but finding out we will now be working in tandem to accomplish what God is calling us to do was downright exhilarating. We are beyond excited for what Nu Water Works has in store, as we know they will be changing lives literally throughout the world.”

Manohar Paul, India: "It was a wonderful experience, we have known that other bothers & sisters from different parts of world work with us but to be able to interact with them and work as ONE global team is really empowering."

Francis Lubega, East Africa: “From my point of view, our meeting with Gregg when the team was in El Salvador, was very helpful and insightful. In the first place, Gregg made it very clear that we are serving God as a team and therefore each and everyone's contribution counts in order to be able to register a recognizable achievement. The fact is that we have different gifts and if everyone is given a chance to use his or her gift or expertise, we can achieve more as an organization in the way we serve our God. That is why although the team was in El Salvador for a short period of time, Nu Water Works was able to solve the water problem. It gave me a better understanding as a manager that working with other people with different views can bring a bigger success for all. Now that view makes me to consider my decisions I make for ministry work that it has to reflect other people's thoughts and opinions for a solid success.”

Lawrence Ssemakula, East Africa: “For me this meeting was evidence of God's revelation to us all, to show us that he's done so much with and through us for years. And yet again, unfolding plans to help sustain people's lives by meeting their needs. The unity I witnessed and the hope that I received from Gregg's encouragement lifted and pushed me ahead to give myself more to serve others hence to reveal Jesus who always served to reveal the kingdom of God. No matter what teams we belong to, we are one team and our service to the people demonstrates our commitment to the will of the Father, whose children we are.”
