Generous Donor Supplies G.O.D. South East Asia with Ministry Vehicle

“See a need, Meet a Need” is enacted as a result of Holiday Campaign 2021 Fundraising Season

In December 2021 during the G.O.D. Int’l Holiday Campaign, ongoing supporter Teresa England learned about a crucial need in the Philippines. The team's ministry vehicle, actively used for multiple weekly programs, delivering supplies in local neighborhoods, transporting mothers to pre/post natal care clinics, and visiting local schools, needed to be replaced - it had been used and repaired to its end.

The new vehicle sits in front of Tahahan Community Center, GOD International SEA's hub location in the Philippines.

For our ministry in South East Asia, this presented a real problem, as many of the program participants could not be served or participate without access to transportation in the local area. The costs of public transportation was also on the rise, preventing many from using those sources. Ms. England donated generously to cover the cost of a new ministry vehicle.

We are so happy to share that the vehicle has been purchased and is now in use at Tahanan, the G.O.D. Int’l community center in the Philippines. We are reminded of this verse from 1 John which Ms. England enacted so beautifully, in a moment of great need: "If anyone with earthly possessions sees his brother in need, but withholds his compassion from him, how can the love of God abide in him? Little children, let us love not in word and speech, but in action and truth." 1 John 3:17-18

Tahanan staff, Mayel and Arthur, work together to apply G.O.D. Int’l decals to the new ministry vehicle.

Volunteers & Missionaries in the Philippines Provided Ongoing Support to Complete the Purchase and Outfit The Vehicle

Several key G.O.D. personnel were involved in seeing this project through from start to finish, including Michelle Madron, who serves in the position of Donor Relations Coordinator, Jason Carpenter, Vice-Lead Manager for the SEA Regional Team, and Clark Miller, both of whom did the research for and acquisition of a vehicle that would be the best fit for our ministry purposes. Tahanan personnel outfitted the vehicle with decals and branding. The ministry of G.O.D. Int’l has become a well-known entity in the Palo area, and we hope that the continued reminder of our ministry and increased mobility allows for access for new participants.

We invite you to join us in Ministry!
