Radnor Tower is a residential community that serves as a home for numerous widows and elderly individuals. Every week, students from the Institute for Global Outreach Developments Int’l gather to serve and share the love of Jesus with these cherished members of our society.

Elderly residents often face challenges in maintaining their homes due to age-related limitations and health issues. Despite their desire for independence and self-sufficiency, tasks like cleaning and organizing can become daunting. Recognizing this need, the Institute for Global Outreach Developments Int’l has taken proactive steps to offer practical assistance and support to these individuals.

Each week, a group of dedicated students from the Institute for GOD Int’l gathers at Radnor Tower armed with cleaning supplies, smiles, and a heartfelt desire to make a positive impact. The weekly ministry projects aren’t just about scrubbing floors or dusting shelves; they’re about building relationships, offering companionship, and sharing the love of Jesus in tangible ways.

While the primary objective of the ministry projects is to address practical needs, the significance of the interpersonal connections forged during these visits cannot be overstated. Through conversations, prayers, and shared experiences, both the students and the residents engage in mutual edification, finding solace, companionship, and encouragement in one another's company.

Many elderly residents find themselves distanced from family members and lacking in regular social interaction. This sense of isolation can lead to feelings of loneliness and abandonment. The visits from the Institute's students serve as a poignant reminder that they are valued, cherished, and never forgotten—both by people and by the Lord.

As the weeks go by, something truly special unfolds. What starts as a knock on the door evolves into eagerly anticipated visits. Residents welcome the students into their homes, often with warm smiles and even sweeter treats. What begins as a simple act of service blossoms into a reciprocal exchange of love, wisdom, and companionship.

The beauty of this ministry doesn’t end with the residents. The students themselves are profoundly impacted by the experience. They find themselves not only serving but being served – enriched by the wisdom, stories, and love shared by the elderly. The students are enriched by the stories, experiences, and insights shared by the elderly, while the residents find renewed joy and purpose in the presence of their young visitors.

As we anticipate the rest of this semester, we do so with hearts full of gratitude and excitement. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to continue sowing seeds of kindness, compassion, and love in the lives of these precious individuals. We strive to enhance the lives of the elderly residents and remind them of their inherent worth and dignity in the eyes of God. As we press forward in our mission, may we continue to embody the transformative power of love and service, bringing hope and joy to all whom we encounter.
