Global Outreach Developments Int'l is excited to introduce a podcasting adventure where students will learn to express their thoughts and ideas through spoken word.
We are excited to introduce a podcasting adventure where students will learn to express their thoughts and ideas through spoken word.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new afterschool program at Donelson Middle School this year: ArtLab! This revamped program is specifically designed for students who are passionate about the arts, music, dance, and creative expression through various mediums.

ArtLab offers an exciting array of activities that will inspire and engage our students. Participants will have the opportunity to increase their skill set in various creative disciplines, starting with culinary arts. Students will learn to cook fun and delicious recipes, combining creativity with practical life skills. The program also dives deep into the world of music, where students will explore music theory and instrumentation, offering a chance to both appreciate and create music.

For those with a love for visual arts, ArtLab has them covered. Students will develop new practical art skills, including crafting, painting, drawing, and even calligraphy. Each session is designed to nurture their artistic talents and encourage experimentation with different mediums.

But ArtLab is not just about the traditional arts. We are excited to introduce a podcasting adventure where students will learn to express their thoughts and ideas through spoken word. They’ll have the chance to host their own podcasts, inviting guests such as parents, teachers, friends, and CASE staff to join in on the conversation. This project will not only boost their confidence in public speaking but also enhance their ability to communicate and engage with others.

Additionally, students will embark on a literary journey by creating their own magazines. This project will allow them to combine their writing, artistic, and design skills to produce a publication that reflects their unique perspectives.

The theme for this year’s program, "Unmuted: Speak UP," emphasizes the importance of student voices. At ArtLab, we believe that every student has something valuable to say, and our projects are designed to help them express themselves creatively and confidently. The friendships and bonds formed through these shared artistic experiences will set these youth up for success,, as students come together to create, learn, and grow in an environment that celebrates their individuality.

We can’t wait to see the incredible work our ArtLab students will produce this year and look forward to a year filled with creativity, expression, and empowerment!
