Support Victor, Gabi, and Kenia as they begin their Internship!
In March 2020, just prior to the international shut-down of travel related to COVID-19, a small group of skilled facilitators traveled to El Salvador to host our yearly youth conference and facilitate the application process to our Internship program. Even when so much was rapidly changing in the world all around us, this team had a very special time with a group of students that were hungry to meet God and study his Word. During this time as we opened the application process for our internship program, we met several young people who felt a conviction from the Lord to participate in the program.
Through the interview process we soon shared their conviction that the Lord was doing something special in their lives and had been for some time, preparing them for this opportunity. We were able to complete the application and interview process with this group, before we had to quickly depart as the country began to shut down.
Since that time, these students have continued to prepare themselves for this program and we, too, have prayerfully considered the right time to begin their internship. Our new interns - Victor, Gabriella (Gabi), and Kenia - will move on campus July 13, and commence orientation!
In a time of instability and hardship for many in El Salvador, it is our hope to provide them with a memorable orientation time that will not only set them up for success in the program, but also mark a special time for them as they fellowship together and integrate with our cooperatives and current interns.
We will do this through welcome gift baskets, a celebratory banquet meal, and the purchase of appropriate technology so that our new students will have the tools they need to participate in classes and international communication! Will you contribute to equipping our new interns? A gift of $10-15 will go a long way in ensuring that they have everything they need!
