For almost 30 years, Global Outreach Developments International has been dedicated to its mission: “Equipping a globally conscious community to serve the poor and marginalized through education, advocacy, and empowerment, without discrimination, demonstrating unconditional love.” As our organization has grown to encompass more than 40 programs, departments, and sister nonprofits, the time has come to refresh our branding to better reflect our mission, global presence, and unified story.
The launch of our new brand hierarchy streamlines our identity and reinforces the connections between GOD International’s efforts as an educational institution, a community service organization, and a third-world development agency. This extensive refresh was thoughtfully crafted through a collaborative effort between Founder Gregg Garner and Graphic Designer Josie Milliron, ensuring the new branding reflects both our mission and the interconnectedness of our work.
At the heart of this refresh is our redesigned ‘GOD’ icon, which incorporates three key elements:
The “G” for God, and also Global, capturing the Lord’s vision to bless all the families of the Earth, just as he promised Abraham.
Educational Institution: Represented by an educational torch, symbolizing God’s enduring presence (just like the torch in the tabernacle in the wilderness) and the light that His Word provides in illuminating truth through education.
Community Service Organization: Represented by a compassionate hand, reflecting God’s call to keep our hands open to those in need through support, love, and service.
Development Agency: Represented by a globe, signifying our worldwide mission, inspired by God’s love for all people and the gift of His Son.
Biblical Foundation: A symbol of our dedication to learning & living out God’s Word.
The refreshed branding also includes a cohesive color scheme, simplified fonts, and refined iconography for our sub-brands, creating a sense of connection across all departments and programs. Additionally, our primary educational brands now feature a cadence of design elements including an open Bible and flame, emphasizing our commitment to learning and living out God’s Word.
Our goal with this brand refresh is to ensure that our programs tell a unified story, helping our audience clearly see who we are and how we serve. This effort not only reflects our growth but our ongoing commitment to representing God through our service.
