WECare Brings Back Quality Events To Chippington Towers!

After a long pause due to a major renovation, WECare is thrilled to announce the return of social events at Chippington Towers! While our dedicated Institute for G.O.D. college student volunteers have continued to provide weekly cleaning and support throughout the past several years, this marks the first time we’ve been able to gather together for social activities since the renovations began.

The return of these events has brought new energy and joy to the residents—and to us! There's something truly special about being in the same room, laughing, talking, and simply sharing time together.

Our first three gatherings since the relaunch have been a beautiful reminder of why this work matters so much:

Bingo Game Time – The excitement in the room was contagious! Residents quickly got into the spirit of the game, and our volunteers loved seeing the lighthearted competition and big smiles that filled the space.

Nail Polishing and Puzzles – A quieter event that allowed for deeper conversations and one-on-one connections. One woman expressed her gratitude, saying, “I can’t remember the last time I had my nails painted. Thank you for doing this.” That one moment captured the heart of WECare.

Singing and Sweet Treats – We closed out our first month back with music and desserts, as residents and volunteers sang old favorites together. Sharing songs and stories, followed by sweet treats, made for a perfect afternoon.

We’re incredibly grateful to Chippington Towers for welcoming us back into their newly renovated space, and to our Institute for G.O.D. college student volunteers for continuing to bring compassion and joy to every event. While our weekly cleaning efforts have never paused, the return of social activities has added a whole new layer of connection. These moments of sitting, talking, singing, laughing, and playing together have highlighted the power of community and the meaningful impact these gatherings have on people’s lives. We treasure every moment spent with the residents of Chippington Towers and look forward to many more opportunities to share in this joy.
